A pair of double doubles (Justin Felicia – 11 points, 12 rebounds and Jamil Samuel – 10 points, 12 rebounds) led host East Texas Baptist University to a 94-48 win over the LeTourneau University men's basketball team on Tuesday in Marshall.

The Tigers (3-0, 1-0 ASC) landed six players in double digits and shot 56.1% from the field in the win. East Texas Baptist picked up a game-high 20 from Ahnre Gray and Junior Mitchell added 11 as four of the five starters were in double figures including Felicia and Samuel. Off the bench, Chad Herring had 11 points as the ETBU bench outscored LETU, 47-24.

The Yellow Jackets (1-3, 0-1 ASC) were led by the eight points from junior Giovanny Thompson and held to 27.3% shooting from the field in the loss. Three LeTourneau players - Sam Talbert, Josh Thornton, and C.J. Edwards – each scored seventh. After LETU freshman Sam Talbert hit a jumper with less than eight minutes to play in the first half, the YellowJackets held a 21-20 lead.

East Texas Baptist answered the basket with an 18-5 run to end the first half en route to a 38-26 lead at the halftime break. The lead for ETBU remained at double digits for the rest of the contest and the Tigers scored 26 of the first 34 points of the first 10 minutes of the second half for the win.

It will be a quick turnaround for the YellowJackets, who will host Louisiana College on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Battle of the Dorms. The LETU residence hall with the most students at the game will receive a voucher for a free value meal from Raising Cane's.
