The LeTourneau University volleyball team lost two matches at the Austin College Classic Tournament on Friday in Sherman.

The YellowJackets started the day with a 25-11, 25-21, 25-23 loss to fellow American Southwest Conference foe, Sul Ross State. In the defeat, LeTourneau sophomore
Dolores Kroese (pictured)Â had seven kills, junior
Alli Bordelon had 17 assists and sophomore
Marissa Anderson had 15 digs to lead the YellowJackets.

The Lobos (4-2) out hit LETU, .154 to .010 and Alilee Church paced the attack with eight kills for Sul Ross State. A key factor in the match was the service game for SRSU, who had eight service aces including four in the decisive third set.

In the nightcap, LeTourneau (2-4) lost to host Austin College (7-1), 25-11, 26-24, 15-25, 25-23. Â Reigning ASC Offensive Player of the Week, junior
Kayla Ronda had 11 kills and five service aces to lead LETU. Also for the YellowJackets, Kroese had 16 digs to go along with nine kills; plus sophomore
Skylar Horan added five block assists and three kills.

The Kangaroos tandem of Presleigh Watson and Rebecca Franklin had 12 and 11 kills, respectively to lead AC. Dani DeWitt added three service aces and five blocks in the win.

LeTourneau will wrap up the tournament with an 11 a.m. match against Hendrix College and a 3 p.m. rematch from the season opener against Texas Lutheran.
