The LeTourneau University volleyball team dropped a 25-20, 25-15, 25-17 decision to No. 22 UT Dallas on Friday night in Solheim Arena in Longview.

The YellowJackets (4-12, 0-4 ASC East) were led by sophomore
Nicole Mosley, who had a double double with 14 assists and 10 digs and senior
Alli Bordelon, who added 16 digs in the defeat.

The Comets (15-2, 6-0 ASC East) hit .250 in the win with Holyn Handley accounting for a match-high 11 kills and seven blocks – a block solo and six block assists. Setter Kayla Jordan spread 34 assists among eight different players for the victory.

Handley and UTD had 11 total team blocks in the win, Emma Wallbrown accounted for five block assists to complement eight kills; plus Abbie Barth and Fayna Zeng had 17 and 16 digs, respectively.

Next up for LeTourneau is a tri-match on Saturday, Oct. 3 when they will host East Texas Baptist at 1 p.m. and Centenary at 5 p.m. ETBU and Centenary will play one another in a match at 3 p.m.
