The LeTourneau University volleyball team lost to the UT Tyler, 25-15, 25-16, 25-15 on Wednesday night in Solheim Arena in Longview on DIG PINK night.
The YellowJackets (8-17, 2-8 ASC) were led by senior libero
Alli Bordelon, who had 13 digs and sophomore setter
Nicole Mosley, who had 15 assists in the defeat. Sophomore
A.J. Campbell had seven kills and four blocks in the loss; plus freshman
Morgan Weaver also had a hand on four blocks. Junior
Korissa White had 10 assists and six digs; in addition, juniors
Dolores Kroese and
Jenny Olejar each had six kills.
The Patriots (17-8, 6-4 ASC) were a balanced attack as they out hit LETU, .257 to .055 in the win. Brieanne Brown had a match-high 12 kills to lead UT Tyler. Courtney Criswell and Rachael Harvey each added eight kills in the win. Brown also had her hand on four blocks and Samantha Lee had a match-high five. Rebecca Floyd accounted for a match-high 24 assists in the win, plus Shelby Estes added eight.
Next, LeTourneau will close out the home portion of its schedule on Friday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. when they host Dallas Christian on Senior Night.
