A pair of second half goals led Hardin-Simmons to a 2-0 win over the LeTourneau University men's soccer team on Saturday in Abilene.
Hardin-Simmons (8-5-2, 5-3-1 ASC) scored in the 51

th minute, respectively for the win. Rowan Meyer had a role in each of the goal, scoring his first goal of the season for the 1-0 lead in the 51
st minute, then in the 84
th minute he had the assist on the Baha Israfilov goal. Goalkeeper Michael Vargas had six saves in the shutout, plus Cole Johnson had three shots to lead the Cowboys' attack.
LeTourneau (5-10-2, 2-5-1) had nine shots – six of which were on goal. Sophomore
Aaron Hastings had a pair of chances early in the contest that were saved by Vargas. Hastings accounted for three of the nine shots for LETU in the defeat, in addition junior goalkeeper
Miguel Cabrera had six saves for the YellowJackets.
LETU will close out the season on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. when they host Jarvis Christian College in a non-conference matchup.
