The LeTourneau University volleyball team posted a 25-21, 13-25, 29-27, 25-20 win over Belhaven University on Friday night in Jackson, Mississippi.
Â
With the win, LeTourneau moves to 6-13 on the season and Belhaven falls to 7-12.

"This win was a team effort in every sense. Both our starting outsides, who are both captains were unable to play. That put the pressure on Ashlyn (Johnson) and Mackenzie (Davies) to step up into their role. That also left the leadership solely on our only healthy captain, Alli (Bordelon). She has been an inspiration since she came in as a freshman and it is only fitting that she would break the all-time dig record tonight. It could not go to a more deserving player and it is a testament to her hard work. I am glad we could get the win for her tonight," said LETU head coach
Scott Peluso.
In the win, LETU senior
Alli Bordelon became the program's all-time dig leader with 1,435 to eclipse the old mark of 1,426 held by Bethany Suderman from 2004-07. Bordelon finished the match with 17 digs and junior
Mackenzie Davies nearly had a double double with nine kills and 23 digs. LeTourneau out hit Belhaven, .165 to .144 in the win; plus a 53-43 advantage in kills.
LETU sophomore
Savanna Stutts and junior
Jenny Olejar had 16 and 13 kills, respectively for the YellowJackets. Stutts had four kills in each of the sets and Olejar had six kills in the third-set victory for LETU. Sophomore
Nicole Mosley had her sixth double double of the season with 34 assists and 10 digs; plus, freshman
Ashlyn Johnson had three service aces in the first set to go along with five kills and 14 digs.
Belhaven was led by the double double performance from Jackie Gunderson, who had 10 kills and 12 digs. Chae Levy had a team-high 14 kills; plus Allie Perkins and Cassidy Fitzpatick had four and three service aces in the loss. Annelle Anderson put a hand on four blocks and Abbey Herman led the squad with 19 digs.
