Box Score The LeTourneau University women's basketball team extended its winning streak to four games with a 75-52 win over McMurry in Abilene.

It is the first four-game winning streak by LETU since they won four in a row during the 2011-12 season, who improve to 5-3 on the season. LeTourneau was led by the 32-point effort by junior Crystal Jones, who hit eight 3-pointers in the win. The 32 points are the most by a LETU player since a 36-point effort by Sara Vestfals on Jan. 16, 2003. Jones was joined in double figures by junior Ashley Crockett, who had 10 points and eight rebounds.
 
The War Hawks, who fall to 1-5, were held to 32.3% shooting from the field in the loss. Three players for McMurry – Taylor Russell (16 points), Sham Hunter (10 points) and Sierra Maykus (11 points) – scored in double figures in the defeat.

"This was a good road win for us and we had to battle through some things tonight," said LETU head coach Leslie Reinecker. "It wasn't pretty, but the team came together and did what we needed to do to get the win."

It was a quick start for the YellowJackets, who jumped out to a 19-8 advantage in the first period as they led from start to finish. 11 of the 19 came from Jones for the YellowJackets, who hit three 3-pointers. A layup at the end of the first period by Crockett put the lead at double figures for the remainder of the contest. In the win, LeTourneau shot 48.4% (30-for-62) from the field and they outrebounded the War Hawks by six, 43-37; plus they forced 22 turnovers.
 
LeTourneau will next face Hardin-Simmons on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in Abilene.
