University of Mary Hardin-Baylor scored three times in the bottom of the eighth to come away with a 5-2 win over the LeTourneau University baseball team on Sunday in Belton.
The YellowJackets (14-15, 12-11 ASC) had rallied to tie the game at 2 in the top half of the inning on a RBI single by the hot-hitting senior
Ryan Bertram. The single by Bertram scored junior
Sean Sellers, who had reached on a fielder's choice earlier in the inning.

The Cru (18-17, 15-12 ASC) scored three times on five hits with two outs for the come-from-behind win. Mary Hardin-Baylor had 13 hits in the win including three each from K.J. Stark and Will Stafford in the win.

LeTourneau started the ninth with back-to-back singles before Stark ended the threat for the YellowJackets with a double play and a strikeout. Offensively, the YellowJacket offense was limited to just six hits in the loss.

Cody Whitley picked up the loss, allowing 11 hits, five runs (three earned) and struck out four to fall to 2-6.

Mary Hardin-Baylor starter Kreece Cooper was not involved in the decision after allowing just three hits, two runs (two earned) and striking out six. Reliever Cody Farr pitched 0.2 innings, allowing three hits in the win to improve to 4-1 and Stark picked up his third save.

LeTourneau comes back to Conrad-Vernon Field for the final time in 2015 as they will host the University of Ozarks in a crucial three-game series. The series gets underway with a 7 p.m. first pitch on Friday night. Â Â
