The LeTourneau University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to Southwestern University, 25-14, 25-15, 25-5 and the University of Dallas, 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 at the Austin College Tournament in Sherman.

The YellowJackets (2-7) started the day with the loss to Southwestern where junior
Dolores Kroese and sophomore
Savanna Stutts each had eight kills. Junior
Korissa White had 11 assists and senior
Alli Bordelon had nine digs in the loss.
Southwestern hit .451 in the straight-set win as Jamison Duck and Piper Sisemore had 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Nikki Welch added 32 assists and Sisemore was strong on the blocking front with two block solos and three block assists in the win.

In the nightcap against Dallas, freshman
Bri Smith had 13 assists, two service aces and six digs in the defeat. Junior
A.J. Campbell had eight kills, two blocks and an ace; plus, freshman
Schuyler Wages had a hand on three blocks and Bordelon had 13 digs to lead LeTourneau.
The Lady Crusaders were led by Lexi Noriega, who had a double double with 14 kills and 10 digs to go along with a block; plus Elizabeth Smith had 33 assists. UD out hit LeTourneau, .261 to .135 in the win.

Next, LeTourneau will begin the rigors of American Southwest Conference East Division play when they travel to face UT Tyler on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.Â
