Men's Soccer: LETU Loses Season Opener to Wiley College, 4-2

The LeTourneau University men's soccer team lost to Wiley College on Tuesday night, 4-2 to begin the 2015 season.
 
The YellowJackets (0-1) utilized a full assortment of players with 20 seeing action in the contest. Facing an early 2-0 deficit, junior Jake Alldredge converted on a corner kick in the 26th minute for his fourth career goal. Later in the game, senior Mario Lopez picked up the sixth goal of his career, finding the back of the net in the 80th minute. Sophomore goalkeeper Brian Howell had seven saves in 90 minutes of action.

The Wildcats (3-0) scored twice in each half of the win to pick up its third-straight win to begin the season for the first time in program history. Quesi Weston scored twice – once in each half - for the visitors in the win to lead the attack to go along with a match-high six shots.

Next, this weekend, LeTourneau to face Schreiner University on Friday, Sept. 4 at 4 p.m. in Kerrville; then, they will face Texas Lutheran on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 4 p.m.
