The LeTourneau University volleyball team posted a 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 win over host Jarvis Christian on Wednesday night in Hawkins.
The YellowJackets (4-8) were led by an eight-kill effort by sophomore
A.J. Campbell to spark an attack that hit .264 in the win. Junior
Dolores Kroese and freshman
Ashlyn Johnson each added six kills.
The Bulldogs' (5-14) Keshanti Tidwell and Alassandra Evans each had six kills in the defeat for Jarvis Christian.
LeTourneau utilized three setters – sophomore
Nicole Mosley, freshman
Bri Smith and junior
Korissa White – in the win. All three accounted for 10 assists each, plus freshman
Kelsie Jeffries and freshman
Liz Williams each added seven digs. LETU also had four service aces and seven team blocks in the win.
Next, LETU returns to the rigors of the American Southwest Conference with a conference crossover at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton. The YellowJackets will face host UMHB on Friday, Sept. 25 at noon and Hardin-Simmons University at 5 p.m.
