The LeTourneau University defense anchored by junior goalkeeper
Miguel Cabrera propelled the visiting YellowJackets to a 1-0 shutout win over Centenary on Tuesday night in Shreveport.

Cabrera, who is the reigning American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week, displayed his prowess between the posts when he made a stop of a penalty kick and a rebound attempt in the 85
th minute to preserve the shutout. The Longview native made seven saves against 13 Centenary shots for his first shutout and second win of the season. With the win, LeTourneau goes to the .500 mark on the season at 2-2.

Chris Marquez got the YellowJackets on the board in the 12
th minute. The sophomore took a pass from
Mario Lopez at the top box and fired a shot over Centenary goalkeeper Kaleb Behm for the goal. The YellowJackets out shot the home team, 16 to 13 with
Raul Saldana and
Jake Alldredge leading the attack with three apiece.
