LeTourneau University men's soccer fell to Howard Payne 2-3 in an overtime shocker on Saturday night at the Joyce Family Athletic Village.
Â
The YellowJackets (5-7-2, 2-4 ASC) would take the lead in the 14

Hunter Swift when he found the ball off Alec Weir's service from a free kick. Swift now has four goals this season coming up from the back line. The senior's experience from three previous seasons playing at the forward position have been crucial for LeTourneau.

Â
Howard Payne would respond midway through the second half with a pair of goals by Josue Vasquez and Daniel Lemus that sent the game into overtime.
Â
The YellowJackets had a great chance in the 93

Zachariah Malik had a break away with two HPU defenders on his back. Malik's shot was blocked wide as the Howard Payne goalkeeper made a diving save.
Â
Shortly after, Jose Vasquez of Howard Payne lofted the ball over the LeTourneau defense to score the final goal and earn the victory for HPU.
Â
LeTourneau will be on the road next weekend to play Mary-Hardin Baylor on October 21
st and Concordia on October 22
