LeTourneau softball fell 7-3 to Louisiana College on Sunday afternoon in the series finale with the No. 17-ranked Wildcats.

LETU (11-17, 6-15 ASC) fell behind early as Louisiana College started the game with a three-run first inning.
Macey Mize got the YellowJackets on the board with an RBI single through the gap to score
Courtney Matulis.

The Jacket offense couldn't solve Savannah Settle as the Wildcat pitcher struck out 11 and retired 13 consecutive batters in her complete game.

The LeTourneau rally was given life when
Shelby Barrick pinch hit and blasted a shot to the left field fence to score
Kelsi Coleman and
Whitney Judd.

Madison Evans-Pierce got on base in the bottom of the seventh inning but Louisiana College would shut down any LeTourneau attempt at a rally to take the victory.

The YellowJackets have now played 12 games against ranked opponents as they face one of the toughest schedules in nation.

LeTourneau will be on the road next weekend for a conference series with Sul Ross State. The doubleheader will be on Friday, March 31
st with first pitch at 4 p.m. Saturday's series finale will start at 12 p.m. in Alpine.
