Box Score 2 GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - Returning to non-conference action following last weekend's American Southwest Conference series with McMurry University, the LeTourneau University baseball team would fall by a score of 2-0 before responding with a 13-6 victory over Arlington Baptist University at Air Hogs Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The split moves LETU to 11-8 overall on the year and ends their five-game set of games in Grand Prairie with a 3-2 overall record.
Game One: Box Score
Offensive woes in game one saw the YellowJackets shut out for the first time in the 2018 campaign, limited to just one hit in the seven-inning game. Junior
Lee Hosie would record LETU's only hit in the contest, with Hosie,
Noah Mahoney, and
Will Bradshaw each drawing one walk in the game.
Gonzalo Sosa would represent LeTourneau's only other base runner in the game, earning his way on base after being hit by a pitch.
Starting pitcher
Haden Simmons would be tagged with the loss, throwing four innings and allowing two runs on six hits while facing 20 total batters in the game.
Ryder Lognion threw two innings in a relief effort, and allowed two total hits.
