LONGVIEW, Texas -- The LeTourneau baseball team notched another honor for the 2026 season as the YellowJackets earned Team Academic Excellence accolades from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
It is the third straight year LeTourneau has earned the award, and the fourth time in the last five seasons. The YellowJackets also collected the award in 2022, 2024, and 2025.
To earn the honor, teams must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.
Under head coach
Paul Phillips, the YellowJackets had a 3.26 team GPA during the spring semester and a 3.32 GPA in the fall. LeTourneau placed 26 players on the SCAC Academic Honor Roll, while five players (
Clayton Holt,
Jonah McDaniel,
Jack Kale,
Cody Brady, and
Austin Wiederhold) earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
LeTourneau won 26 games -- the most since 2014 -- with a second-place finish in the SCAC regular season and a runner-up finish at the SCAC Tournament.
