LONGVIEW -- LeTourneau University women's basketball team will compete in a pair of holiday tournaments,  beginning with Monday's trip to Atlanta for the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Classic at Oglethorpe.

The YellowJackets (2-3) will host the LETU Holiday Classic Dec. 28-29 at Solheim Arena. 

LeTourneau will play Oglethorpe 5 p.m. Monday. The Jackets wrap up the tournament against Centre College 1 p.m. Tuesday. Ranked 16th in the country, Oglethorpe is off to an 8-1 start. Centre College enters its game against Belhaven on Monday with a 3-4 record.

Oglethorpe will be competing in its fourth tournament this season. The game against the Stormy Petrels is the first of six this year on the YellowJackets' schedule featuring an opponent nationally ranked or receiving votes in the Top 25 polls.

At the LETU Holiday Classic, LeTourneau will entertain Benedictine (Ill.) at 3 p.m. Dec. 28 and Blackburn at 3 p.m. Dec. 29. Benedictine is 5-1 entering its game against Concordia Chicago Saturday. Blackburn will take a 2-4 record into its game against Principia Saturday. Both Benedictine and Blackburn will play East Texas Baptist at the LETU Holiday Classic.

This marks the first year LeTourneau will host a holiday tournament under third-year coach Cassi Rozanski.
