Sewanee, Tenn. – After a late start due to a weather delay, LeTourneau University's men's soccer team came up short in the first game of its two-game road trip, losing at Sewanee, 5-1.
The Tigers (2-2-1) score three goals in the first half and followed up with two in the second, and LETU (3-2) could never get over the hump.
The YellowJackets stung the Tigers early, when
Bridger Roberdeau nailed one to the back of the net from an assist by
Blaine Wright in the 13
th minute. This was Roberdeau's first goal on the season.
Sewanee would go on to rattle off five unanswered goals, after David Edge captured the Tigers first goal at the 26
th minute mark. Trevor Reichman punched one after a setup from Edge at the 34
th minute. Severin Velasco scored on an unassisted goal 4:47 minutes later to make it 3-1 going into the half. Reichman found the back of the net again in the second half off the assist by Tashinga Vhumisai. Andrew Delves scored the final goal of the game in the 77
th minute.
LETU goalkeeper
CJ Leyva had eight saves. Sewanee goalkeeper JP Furman stopped three shots.

The Tigers outshot LeTourneau 24-10, which included a 13-5 deficit on goal.
Sewanee committed 13 fouls, collecting four yellow cards. LETU had 11 fouls.
The YellowJackets had five shots on goal, three of them from Roberdeau and one each from
Enrique Salazar and
Nahum Serrano.
