Men's Soccer Loses Road Contest, Now Looks Toward the Home Stretch

RICHARDSON, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's soccer team suffered a tough road loss to UT Dallas allowing three road goals to the Comets on Thursday night.

UT Dallas (6-4-4, 2-2-2 ASC) opened up the scoring against LeTourneau (4-6-4, 0-4-2) in the 12th minute when Kayson Marriott put one in the back of the net for the Comets off of a throw-in turned to a pass from Luke Deats that went into the lower left corner of the YellowJacket net.

The second goal came with 5 minutes left in the half as Raul made a solid save on a shot, coming from Hamza Syed, which then took an unfortunate patch to land in front of Nate Patton who then put it into the goal for the Comets.

LeTourneau came out to the second half ready to battle, taking the kickoff and recording a shot within eight seconds of the second half. The YellowJackets were able to put four second-half shots on frame after recording none in the first half.

The final Goal for UT Dallas came in the 60th minute from a rocketed shot from beyond the 18-yard box by Kane Kidwell. The Comets were able to keep the LeTourneau Goalkeeper, Raul Torres, busy as he recorded seven saves while playing all 90 minutes. The Comet Keeper, Michael Hesse made four saves to keep a shutout.
