IRVING, Texas -- Down two sets to none, the LeTourneau volleyball team rallied to force a fifth game but host University of Dallas prevailed to knock off the YellowJackets, 3-2 (32-30, 25-23, 22-25, 19-25, 15-11) in non-conference action on Tuesday night.

The loss drops LeTourneau to 6-4 on the year.

LeTourneau lost the first two sets by a total of four points. Dallas (6-5) had its own rally in the second to take a 2-0 match lead. The Crusaders trailed 18-11 before coming back to claim the win.

In the third, LeTourneau was finally able to switch the momentum. The YellowJackets trailed 22-21, but scored the final four points to keep the match alive. Monk had a kill and an ace during the stretch, while Payan ended the set with a kill.

LeTourneau forced a fifth set with a comfortable fourth-set victory. The YellowJackets hit .250 in the set and held Dallas to its lowest hitting percentage of the night at .080 to even the match.

Two kills from Monk and another from Smith gave LeTourneau a 3-1 lead in the fifth. Dallas rallied back and took the lead for good on an Isabel McKamey kill that gave the Crusaders a 10-9 edge. The YellowJackets got with 12-11 before Dallas secured the final three points.

Each team had seven blocks as Morgan had five assisted for LeTourneau and Smith added four.
