LONGVIEW, Texas -- In this evenly matched game it was pair of second-half goals which gave the 'Roos of Austin College the upper hand as the Jackets were not able to mount a comeback, suffering a loss in the regular season's home opener on Saturday night.

The two teams were tough to be separated in as they were almost even in the possession total with the Jackets taking the advantage there at 51%-49% while Austin College took the advantage of shots taken edging out the Jackets 14-13 in that category.

After no shortage of opportunities in the first half for the Jackets with two shots on target and the ball within their attacking half a majority of the time, we went scoreless into halftime knotted up at zero-zero. Coming out in the second half Austin College was able to put a couple quick shots past Raul Torres in the 66th and 67th minute. The first coming from Kyle Nimon off of a blocked shot from about 12-yards out, the second one while riding the momentum was put away by Cesar Esscobar, assist by Louis Catchpole.

LeTourneau had recorded four shots on target throughout the game but were not able to put any past the Kangeroo keeper, Connor Tullis.
