LONGVIEW, Texas -- Haylee Jordan recorded her sixth double-double of the year with 22 points and 17 rebounds, but the LeTourneau women's basketball team fell to visiting McMurry, 80-60, on Saturday afternoon in ASC action at Solheim Arena.

Jordan shot 10-of-14 from the field for her 22 points and added four blocks with her 17 rebounds to lead LeTourneau (2-6, 0-2 ASC). It was her sixth double-double of the year in seven games, which also includes one triple-double.

The YellowJackets had a strong second quarter and trailed 32-29 at the break. Down eight (17-9) to open the second quarter, LeTourneau held McMurry scoreless for the first four minutes of the period and trimmed the deficit to two on a Jordan free throw. Kylie Weeks hit a 3-pointer in the waning seconds of the period to get the YellowJackets within three at the half.

McMurry (5-1, 2-0) was just too much over the final two periods. The visiting War Hawks were up 44-39 midway through the third and used a barrage of 3-pointers to pull away. McMurry hit seven 3-pointers in the second half.

Mariana Espinosa added nine points with five rebounds for LeTourneau, while Weeks had eight points and six assists. Ganae Gaines grabbed six rebounds to go with four points and two assists.

LeTourneau connected on 38.3 percent (23-of-60) from the field.

McMurry was led by 20 points from Katie Hale as she connected on six 3-pointers. Emily Holland tallied 15 points. The War Hawks made nine 3-pointers and shot 43.9 percent (29-of-66) for the game.
