BELTON, Texas -- A cold shooting night for the LeTourneau women's basketball team was too much to overcome for the YellowJackets in a 98-46 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor in ASC action on Thursday night at the Mayborn Center.
LeTourneau drops to 2-7 overall and 0-3 in league play with the loss. Mary Hardin-Baylor (6-1, 2-0 ASC), which is receiving votes in both the WBCA Top 25 and the D3hoops.com Top 25, remains perfect in league play.
Bailey Broughton had eight points, while
Future Asevedo had six points with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the loss.
Madelyn DeLosSantos and
Kylie Weeks each had five points.
LeTourneau connected on 25 percent (14-of-56) from the field for the game, but did make 13-of-18 at the foul line.
Mary Hardin-Baylor took the first nine points of the game and cruised from there. Ariana Rosborough had 17 points in the first half and finished with a game-high 22 points with five assists and five rebounds. Lauren Baker added 12 points and Jaycie Brisco had 11.
The host Cru made 48.6 percent (34-of-70) overall with nine 3-pointers.Â

LeTourneau remains on the road and will face Concordia Texas in Austin on Saturday (1 p.m.).
