CLARKSVILLE, Ark. --
Warren Richardson scores his 1,000th point as LeTourneau finishes the regular season with a win, 92-80, over Ozarks.
The YellowJackets got out to a slow start falling behind 12-4 on the road. A
Christian Adams Jumper and
Caedmon Liebengood 3-pointer helped bring it within four, 17-13, as the back-and-forth battle began.
The Eagles stretched the lead to eight with 11 minutes to play in the half. Liebengood put up a run of five points to keep within five of the Ozarks.
LeTourneau finally tied it up with a Jackson 3-pointer with 5:43 showing on the clock in the first half. Richardson marked a major milestone by scoring his 1,000th point as he built up the lead to three before heading into the locker room.
LeTourneau shot 60.6% in the first half as Liebengood put up 12 points along with
Deonte Jackson's 11 before heading into the second half.
The YellowJackets continued to battle with the Eagles as Grayson Nix and Dillon Cheater kept on the attack as they combined for 54 for the day.
LeTourneau eventually pulled away with a spark lit by a
Christian Adams slam.
Jackson finished the day with 27 points and was an assist away from a double-double with nine. Richardson marked 15 points with five rebounds.
John Argue saw 14 points and nine boards. Liebengood had 12 points and three boards.
