BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--
Axel Pangni marked his third goal of the season as the LeTourneau men's soccer tied 1-1 at Birmingham Southern on Friday night.
Raul Torrez collected a season-high of eight saves on the night as Birmingham Southern (2-2-1) attacked.Â
LeTourneau (2-2-1) marked a goal in the 17th minute when
Caleb Nelson assisted Pangni who played it to the lower left side to take the lead.Â
The YellowJackets carried the lead into the locker room even though they were out-shot by the Panthers 11-5 in the first half.
The Panthers notched a goal in the 69th minute as it was their seventh shot on frame of the night. Alessandro Junior got credit for the goal as Trey Kirksey added an assist.
The Panthers made a late lunge to try and find a go-ahead goal, but the Jackets defense held as Torrez collected his eighth save in the 88th minute.Â
