FARMERS BRANCH, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's soccer team held onto an early lead to win 3-2 at Dallas Christian on Tuesday evening.

LeTourneau (3-2-1) jumped out to a quick lead as Tyler Burks finished a ball from Garrett Thom in the 3rd minute to take a 1-0 lead. The mark counts for Tyler Burks' second goal on the year. 

The YellowJackets kept up the attack and found the net a couple of times in the first half however they did not stand as the flag was up for offsides. 

LeTourneau did make one count in the end of the first half with three seconds left. Axel Pangni notched his fourth goal of the season as he curled it in to the far side of the net. Graysen Crawford was credited with the assist.

The YellowJackets took a 2-0 lead to the break. The Crusaders were outshot 6-5 however the YellowJackets had four shots on frame compared to two from the Crusaders.

LeTourneau came out of the break continuing to fire on all cylinders as Garrett Thom beat the keeper on a long pass from Caleb Nelson. The YellowJackets carried a 3-0 in the 54th minute.

The Crusaders kept up the fight as they scored two goals in the 57th and 59th minute. Govea Francisco and Angel Medel were credited as goal-scorers.

The tensions got high as the now one score game went on, but LeTourneau held on through the final whistle. 

Kolton Johnson was in net for all 90 minutes for the YellowJackets as he tallied five saves.

The YellowJackets will travel home to face Schreiner on Friday with kickoff set at 1 p.m.
