LONGVIEW, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's basketball team had six players score double-digits in an 89-76 win over visiting Sul Ross on Saturday afternoon.
LeTourneau (9-5) has now had three straight games with 10 or more made three-pointers.
LeTourneau jumped out to a 17-point lead with an 11-0 run over Sul Ross (8-7) by the second media timeout. Deonte Jackson, Christian Adams, Walker Blaine, and Branson Lynn all contributed a three-point bucket in the starting stretch making the score 28-11.
The YellowJackets maintained a lead going to the break at 49-34 while shooting 36.8% from beyond the arc for the first period. While Adams marked four assists and a block.
It was more of the same in the second period as the YellowJackets gained their largest lead with a Caedmon Liebengood trey to make it 57-36 over the Lobos with 18:47 remaining.
Liebengood later added to the highlight reel with a fastbreak dunk assisted by Jackson.
LeTourneau would finish the game 89-76 as Jackson Mayes led the team in scoring with 14 points.
Blaine marked his first double-double of the year with 10 rebounds and 13 points.
Adams notched 10 points and seven assists. While Liebengood and Jackson scored 13 apiece. Teigan Edwards also scored double-digits with 10 and tallied an assist and a rebound.
