BROWNWOOD, Texas -- The LeTourneau women's basketball team fell in the road finale, 80-57, at Howard Payne on Saturday afternoon.
LeTourneau (5-18, 2-12 ASC) shot 33.3% from the field and beyond the arc. Howard Payne (8-16, 4-12 ASC tallied six more three-pointers than LeTourneau with their eight from 3-point land.
LeTourneau outrebounded the hosts 45-44 with 12 offensive rebounds contributing to six second-chance points.
Bailey Broughton led LeTourneau with 17 points, she went 6-of-8 from the foul line and 1-for-3 from range.Â
Ganae Gaines also tallied double-digits with her 10 points. Gaines also snatched three steals.
Howard Payne jumped to a 12-4 lead early in the first quarter, but LeTourneau was able to bounce back with a Broughton layup, a Kylie weeks steal, and score, and a free throw to bring it back to a one-possession game 12-9.
Kiara Green hit a three-pointer before the closing of the quarter to give the hosting LadyJackets a 15-9 lead into the break.
Howard Payne would control the rest of the game winning all four quarters.
LeTourneau did score more points in the paint with 30 to Howard Payne's 24 on the day.

LeTourneau returns to Longview for the final home-stand of the season on Thursday when they face UT Dallas with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff time.
