CLARKSVILLE, Ark. -- The LeTourneau men's soccer team picked up its second shutout in the last three matches and a
Henry Shore goal in the 67th minute was the difference in a 1-0 victory at Ozarks on a rainy Friday night in Clarksville.
LeTourneau (5-5-5, 4-3-2 SCAC) earned its third shutout of the season. It was the second straight blanking of Ozarks (3-11-2, 2-7-0 SCAC) in the all-time series between the programs.
Edson Camara Martinez collected his first shutout of the year as he played all 90 minutes at the net. The defensive effort from
Sammy Shmorgun,
Joshua Van Wagener,
Kamden Karleskint, and
Elias Arreguin among others was key in the victory.
Shore continued his torrid pace in SCAC play with the game-winner. Off a corner kick, the ball slipped through the hands of Ozarks keeper Maksym Maliutenko and Shore knocked it in for his eighth goal of the year.Â
The freshman is tied for the SCAC lead in goals scored in conference play with seven and tied atop the league with 16 points in conference matches.
Ozarks had challenges over the final minutes, but Camara Martinez and the defense held firm.
