LONGVIEW, Texas -- The three newest members of the LeTourneau Athletics Hall of Fame were inducted in a ceremony on Oct. 4, 2025 during Homecoming weekend.
Longtime head athletic trainer Portia Phillips, former men's basketball head coach Dan Miller, along with men's basketball standout and LeTourneau alum Nate West '20 were inducted into the honor. The trio added to the 56-member Hall of Fame, which was introduced in 1997.
Phillips spent over two decades as the head athletic trainer before retiring in 2024. Phillips arrived in Longview in 2003 as the first full-time athletic trainer the University employed. Miller was the head men's basketball coach from 2014-21 and is the winningest coach in program history with 110 victories to go with two ASC East Division regular season championships, one ASC Tournament title, and the the program's first two appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
West was a four-year standout for the men's basketball team from 2016-20. He was the consensus national player of the year in Division III in the 2019-20 season as he helped LeTourneau to an ASC Tournament title and reach the NCAA Tournament for a second time.

Along with the Hall of Fame inductees, LeTourneau recognized its 2024-25 Annual Award winners. Dane Jones (co-Male Athlete of the Year), Morgan Nix (Female Athlete of the Year), and Kylie Grisham (Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year) were present to accept their honors.
Deonte Jackson (co-Male Athlete of the Year), Bridger Roberdeau (Male Athlete of the Year), and
Caedmon Liebengood (R.G. LeTourneau Legacy Award) were also recognized.
