LONGVIEW, Texas -- LeTourneau men's hoops took care of business against Lewis and Clark on Saturday afternoon, winning 94-82 at Solheim Arena.

Jackson Mayes broke the 20-point threshold to lead YellowJacket scorers, while David Martinez added 19 and Teigan Edwards 18. Logan Brinkoeter contributed his second consecutive double-double as well, going for 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The River Otters were in control early on in this one, going up by as many as six in the first five minutes of the game.

However, the Jackets would bounce back, tying it up at 15 behind five straight points by Edwards. 

The game remained close until another 5-0 burst put LeTourneau up by eight with 6:41 to go, thanks to Alex Ferrell and Jak Kinder's buckets. A final 8-2 run at the end of the first half put the YellowJackets up 10 at the half.

LeTourneau kept their foot on the gas pedal in the second half, going on a 13-4 run to extend the lead to 19. Mayes would score nine straight in this stretch.

The lead got as high as 20 for the YellowJackets (6-3), who did not allow the River Otters (3-5) to get closer than 12 the rest of the way. Max Frels hit some key buckets to keep the lead, scoring in double figures for the third straight game off the bench.

Andre Treadwell led Lewis and Clark with a game-high 22 points, while Justin White had 12 and Marcus Bast had 10 and seven assists.
