SCAC Announces Fall All-Sportsmanship Teams

SUWANEE, Ga. -- Five LeTourneau student-athletes were named to SCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship teams, announced the conference on Monday.

LeTourneau honorees included Austin Jett (men's cross country), Alayna Galloway (women's cross country), Nate Bransford (men's soccer), Clarissa Martinez (women's soccer), and Emma Smith (volleyball).

Since the inaugural All-Sportsmanship teams were honored in the fall of 2008, the SCAC has recognized over 2,500 student-athletes who each, in his or her own way, has displayed the league's core belief in the value of honorable conduct. For this year's selections, each conference head coach was asked to elect one member from his or her team who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season.

Jett, a junior from Magnolia, Texas, was also a member of the SCAC Character & Community initiative this fall. Jett competed in five cross country meets and had two personal records during the season.

Galloway, a senior from Montgomery, Texas, collects her second career SCAC All-Sportsmanship selection. The senior paced the YellowJackets for the majority of the season and had a pair of personal records.

Bransford, a senior from Kijabe, Kenya, was an All-SCAC honorable mention selection after helping LeTourneau reach the SCAC Tournament semifinals.

Martinez, a senior from Richwood, Texas, earned All-SCAC honorable mention and was the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week once during the year. Her play helped LeTourneau to its first winning season since 2019 and a program-record eight shutouts. She earned CSC Academic All-District honors for a second straight year. Martinez was also a member of the SCAC Character & Community initiative this fall.

Smith, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, earned All-SCAC honorable mention after a career-high 239 kills and .259 hitting percentage. Her play helped LeTourneau to an NCAA-era record 19 wins and a berth in the SCAC Tournament. Smith was named to the CSC Academic All-District team.
