PENFIELD, N.Y. -- LeTourneau men's golf senior
Corbin Barton was named to the GCAA/PING All-Region VII team, announced the organization on Sunday at the NCAA Division III Championships.
Barton is the third player in program history to garner all-region honors (Bryson Thurston, 2023; Reed Fisher, 2020).
A senior from Longview, Texas, Barton has put on a record-breaking season in his return to the YellowJackets. Barton was named the ASC Golfer of the Year and collected All-ASC first team honors. He leads the team in scoring average (72.47), which currently ranks first in program history. The senior won three tournaments and totaled eight top-10 finishes on the year, while being a four-time ASC Golfer of the Week selection.
Barton ranked as high as No. 4 nationally during the year and currently sits at No. 16 -- and at No. 1 regionally. He shot a season-best round of 66 three times during the year -- two of which were at 5-under -- and had 16 rounds at or below par. Barton played in 10 tournaments on the year and finished under par in six of those events.
Barton and LeTourneau begin the NCAA Division III Championships on Tuesday at 6:45 a.m. central (7:45 a.m. eastern) at Midvale Country Club. Live scoring can be found
