Caedmon Liebengood and
Elizabeth Moreau joined 12 graduating student-athletes from the six American Southwest Conference member institutions in being honored as 2024-25 ASC Scholar-Athlete Medal of Honor recipients.
The Scholar-Athlete Medal of Honor is the highest honor one can achieve as an American Southwest Conference student-athlete. Presented by the Faculty Athletics Representatives, the Scholar-Athlete Medal of Honor is awarded to one male and one female member of each member institution's graduating class who has compiled the most outstanding record in academics, athletics, and leadership over their collegiate career.
Liebengood, a senior men's basketball student-athlete from Longview, Texas, was an All-ASC second team selection and earned his second career CSC Academic All-District nod. The forward averaged 15.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. He shot 56.3 percent from the field, second-best in the ASC, and made 27 3-pointers on the year. Liebengood had 21 double-digit scoring games and three double-doubles this season. He had a season-high 29 points in a win over Sewanee on Nov. 22.
Majoring in scripture and theology with a 3.92 GPA, Liebengood was the LeTourneau Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2023-24. He is a three-time ASC Academic All-Conference honoree and collected NABC Honors Court last season.
Moreau, a junior from Nacogdoches, Texas, earned her second straight CSC Academic All-District honor this season. The junior collected eight singles wins on the year, including six at the No. flight and paired with Casso for seven wins at the No. 1 flight in doubles. She has been a mainstay in the lineup since her freshman season, including tallying a career-high 13 singles wins last season.
Moreau graduated in three years with her degree in business accounting and a 4.00 GPA. She is a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and two-time ASC Academic All-Conference selection.
