Schedule Set for Women's Basketball in 2026-27

LONGVIEW, Texas -- A new era of LeTourneau women's basketball begins in 2026-27 and the YellowJackets recently unveiled the season schedule.

First-year head coach Morgan Garrett takes the reins of the program as the YellowJackets enter the second year of SCAC membership. A 25-game schedule with 18 conference games is set for the 2026-27 season.

LeTourneau will open the Garrett era on Nov. 12 with a road game at Dallas Christian. The YellowJackets will be road warriors at the start of the season with the first five games away from Solheim Arena.

The trip continues on Nov. 20-21 in Kentucky as LeTourneau competes at the Lee's Famous Recipe/Hampton Inn Classic, hosted by Centre. The YellowJackets face the host Colonels on Nov. 20 before squaring off with Berry on Nov. 21. LeTourneau then heads to Howard Payne on Nov. 24 to complete the November slate.

After a trip tp Belhaven on Dec. 3, the YellowJackets begin the home schedule on Dec. 5 against Howard Payne. All home games are free admission or can be watched online through FloCollege.

LeTourneau's final non-conference game is set for Dec. 28 against College of Biblical Studies inside Solheim Arena.

The SCAC schedule starts on Dec. 11 at Centenary and continues in December with a trip to Colorado College (Dec. 18) and St. Thomas (Dec. 20). LeTourneau will play 18 conference games as the league schedule is adjusted this year with home-and-home games against the entire conference.

LeTourneau will host Concordia Texas on New Year's Day and Texas Lutheran on Jan. 2. Hendrix (Jan. 15), Ozarks (Jan. 16), Colorado College (Jan. 22), and St. Thomas (Jan. 23) comprise a four-game home stand for the YellowJackets in January.

The YellowJackets also host defending SCAC Tournament champion Austin College on Feb. 5. Dallas (Feb. 6) and Centenary (Feb. 19) round out the league home games.

The SCAC Tournament is set for Feb. 26-28 at Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, La. The top six teams qualify for the tournament.

SCHEDULE NOTES:

  • LeTourneau and Berry will meet for the time in program history.
  • LeTourneau has one previous meeting with Centre, a 65-59 win on Dec. 17, 2019.
  • The YellowJackets and Dallas Christian have not met since 2020. LeTourneau holds an 8-0 record all-time against the Crusaders.
