CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The LeTourneau volleyball team earned a 3-0 (27-25, 25-14, 25-11) conference road win over Ozarks to move above .500 in SCAC play.Â
The YellowJackets hit a season-high .284 and were led by senior Kylee Marksberry, who recorded 10 kills while hitting .400. Elizabeth Corbitt made an impact as well, as she hit .438 on nine kills while also logging four blocks.Â
Rebekah Dragoo led the way defensively, garnering 14 digs, while Hailee Perry had 12 assists and 10 digs to earn herself a double-double. LeTourneau held Ozarks to a -.018 hitting percentage.Â
Ozarks (0-13, 0-6 SCAC) started the match off quickly, using a 14-5 run to take a 17-12 lead after consecutive kills by Caylie Apperson. LeTourneau (6-10, 3-2 SCAC) responded by going on a 9-1 run aided by three kills by Corbitt and two from Nora Lockhart to give themselves a 21-18 lead. Ozarks would come back and have a set-point opportunity at 24-23, but LeTourneau would not be denied, as it responded once again to win the first set 27-25.
The second-set started off as competitive as the first before the YellowJackets broke it open with a 6-1 run to take a 19-11 lead. LeTourneau would go on to close out the set 25-14, with the help of three straight Marksberry kills.Â
The Jackets would never allow the third set to get close, as they used a 12-0 run to take a 19-4 lead before closing it out 25-11.Â
