LONGVIEW, Texas -- Leandro Ferreira's brace helped push the LeTourneau men's soccer team to its second conference win of the week.

The YellowJackets finished the weekend with two wins after a 2-0 victory over Ozarks Sunday afternoon at the Joyce Family Athletic Village. 

LeTourneau (6-5-1, 2-1-1 SCAC) jumped out to a fast start with eight shots in the first half. 

In the 20th minute, Colton Chalker threaded a pass to Ferreira, who netted his third goal of the season with his right foot to give LeTourneau a 1-0 lead. The assist was Chalker's fourth of the season. Ferreira's turned out to be the game-winner. 

Ozarks (6-4-3, 1-3-0 SCAC) ramped up its offensive pressure in the second half, taking 10 shots.

This did not stop the YellowJackets from quickly scoring again. In the 48th minute, Ferreira won a challenge in the box and found space to fire a right-footed shot past Ozarks keeper Natanel Raitsin to give the YellowJackets a 2-0 lead. Ferreira's second goal of the match gave him his first career multi-goal match. 

LeTourneau withstood heavy pressure from the Eagles throughout the second half. 

Edson Camara Martinez played all 90 minutes in goal for LeTourneau and earned a shutout with five saves. Raitsin played a full 90 minutes for Ozarks and recorded one save. 

Ferreira's goals were his third and fourth of the season. Ferreira leads the YellowJackets in points with 12 on the 2026 campaign and is second in goals. 

LeTourneau's win moves them into sole possession of third place in the SCAC standings.

LeTourneau heads north to face Colorado College in SCAC play on Friday (8:00 p.m.).
