COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The LeTourneau men's soccer team fell 3-0 to the conference-leading Tigers.

LeTourneau conceded three goals in the second half against Colorado College, falling 3-0 on Friday night at Stewart Field. 

The match started very similarly to last year's 1-0 loss at home against Colorado College (10-2-1, 5-0 SCAC), with both teams failing to earn a shot until the 33rd minute. 

LeTourneau (6-6-1, 2-2-1 SCAC) played strong defensively for most of the game, but after several repeated corner kicks, Whit Hynes found the net (59') off a feed from Jack Hilliard to break the stalemate and give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. 

The Tigers quickly struck again in the 60th minute, with Hynes finding the net again, this time off the left post to give Colorado a 2-0 lead, off a feed from Hilliard once again. 

In the 71st minute, the Tigers earned a penalty kick on a foul, and Teddy Opler scored his ninth goal of the season with his right foot. 

The YellowJackets best scoring opportunity came in the 67th minute when Leandro Ferreira found some space at the top of the box and had a clean look with his right foot, but Spencer Besselaar was there to handle the shot.

Zach Parris, Bridge Mwambukiri, and Ferreira each registered shots on goal in the match. 

Edson Camara Martinez played all 90 minutes in goal for LeTourneau and gathered six saves. Besselaar earned the shutout for the Tigers with three saves over a full 90-minute game.

LeTourneau heads south to take on the University of Dallas on Sunday afternoon (12:00 p.m.).
