Prewitt Earns GCAA/PING All-Region Honors

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- LeTourneau men's golf sophomore Owen Prewitt was named to the GCAA/PING All-Region VII team, announced the organization on Sunday at the NCAA Division III Championships.

Prewitt is the fourth player in program history to garner all-region honors (Corbin Barton, 2025; Bryson Thurston, 2023; Reed Fisher, 2020).

A sophomore from Cedar Park, Texas, Prewitt earned All-SCAC first team honors after placing in a tie for fifth at the conference tournament last month. Prewitt leads LeTourneau in season scoring average at 72.73 with 15 rounds at or better than par and six top-10 finishes. He earned medalist honors at the season-opening Energy Weldfab Tempest Intercollegiate where he carded a round of 4-under, 68 and finished the 54-hole tournament with a 7-under, 209.

His 15 rounds at or better than par are the second-most in a season in program history, while his scoring average is near the top.

Prewitt ranks No. 42 in the nation heading into LeTourneau's fourth straight appearance at the NCAA Division III Championships, which begins on Tuesday. The sophomore is the top-ranked player in the SCAC.

LeTourneau opens the NCAA Division III Championships on Tuesday morning at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. Live coverage can be found at letuathletics.com/live.
