Men's Soccer Falls to Sewanee in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The LeTourneau men's soccer team fell to Sewanee, 4-0, on Friday afternoon at Rhodes Soccer Field. 

LeTourneau drops to 4-2 on the season, while Sewanee improves to 3-1-1. 

Sewanee outshot LeTourneau 15-7, netting four of the six shots it put on goal. The YellowJackets were only able to put three shots on goal, two of which came from Leandro Ferreira. 

Luke Manley opened up the Tigers' scoring in the 13th minute as he took a pass from Jackson Knoll and buried it in the bottom left portion of the goal. 

Sewanee scored again in the final minute of the first half as Sammy Shmorgun was called for a foul in the box, which resulted in a successful PK from Grayson White. 

The Tigers extended their lead in the opening minutes of the second half as Noah Bjorkman netted a goal off a rebound after a save from Victor Velazquez. 

Sewanee put the cherry on top in the 82nd minute as Manley scored his second goal of the day to seal a 4-0 victory. 

UP NEXT

LeTourneau will take on Rhodes College on Sunday at 2:30 PM to round out its trip to Memphis.
