Box Score CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Nicole Kemper scored the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute to give LeTourneau women's soccer a 2-1 victory over Ozarks Saturday afternoon, the YellowJackets' first win of the season.
The game was scoreless into the 51st minute, when Ozarks struck first on an unassisted goal by MaKenna Piha, a free kick from 35 yards out.
Ozarks maintained the lead until the 75th minute, when LETU's Maggie Judd took a pass from Katie Plunk and kicked it over the keeper's head to tie the game at 1-1.
In the 83rd minute, Kemper took a pass from Liz Bowman and found the back of the net to give the YellowJackets the come-from-behind victory.
In addition to the game-winner, Kemper played 64:41 in goal, making two saves while allowing just one goal. Jamie Aguillen played 25:19 in relief of kemper, shutting Ozarks out the rest of the way and making two saves.
LeTourneau returns home Friday, Oct. 12 for a game against Louisiana College, set for 4 p.m. CT at LETU Soccer Field.
