Women's Soccer Falls to LSU-Shreveport, 4-0

LONGVIEW, Texas – LeTourneau women's soccer fell to LSU-Shreveport, 4-0, in the YellowJackets' season opener Friday night at LETU Soccer Field. Nicole Kemper led LETU on the evening with six saves.

LSU-Shreveport got on the board first in the 16th minute when Sandra Quintero scored on an assist from Brooke Martin.

Seven minutes later, Martin got free and scored an unassisted goal in the 23rd minute, giving LSU-Shreveport a 2-0 advantage, which it would take into the half.

Martin would add her second goal of the game in the 55th minute, scoring on an assist from Kaitlin Bush to give the Lady Pilots a 3-0 lead.

Mary Warfield scored the final goal of the game in the 85th minute, assisted by Jessica Carrion, to provide the final margin.

LSU-Shreveport finished the contest with 25 shots (15 on goal), while LeTourneau had eight shots (four on goal).

Liz Bowman led the YellowJackets offensively with four shots, two of them on goal. Maggie Judd and Ana Vitro had one shot on goal apiece. Jamie Aguillen added five saves for LETU.

LeTourneau is back in action Saturday at 4 p.m., as the YellowJackets welcome Millsaps College to LETU Soccer Field.
