FARMERS BRANCH - The LeTourneau YellowJacket softball team reached 10 wins on the season on Friday as they knocked off Schreiner and Mary Hardin-Baylor in the annual ASC Crossover Tournament in Farmer's Branch, Texas.

Parton, after giving up two hits in the first inning, went to work and shut down Schreiner, getting ahead in the count and making it tough on all batters.

Tuel got things going again in the third as she walked in her first at bat, was moved to second on a sac bunt from Kaderli, and went over to third on a groundout by Winter. This time, junior Jourdan Glover knocked her home with a RBI single up the middle.

As Parton continued to domiante, Glover and junior Sara Whitehead drove in two more runs as the Jackets were in complete control.

The Mountaineers scratched across a run in the seventh, but Parton shut any rally down right away to take the 4-1 win.

Glover led the way, going 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored while Whitehead and Winter each added a RBI. Tuel crossed home plate twice in the game.

In Game Two, LeTourneau jumped all over Mary Hardin-Baylor early on. After junior starter Taylor Thibodeaux sat the Cru down in order, Kaderli got things started with a one out single. Winter then came to the plate and blasted a homerun over the deepest part of the field in center for a 2-0 lead. Glover drew a walk and one batter later, freshman Shelby Borders connected with the first homerun of her young career to extend the lead to 4-0.

With one out in the second inning, Thibodeaux picked up her second strikeout to begin the All-Time strikeout leader in LeTourneau softball history with 213. She went on to finish the inning with a fly out.

After a single and reaching base on a passed ball, Winter stepped to the plate again and singled home another run to make it 5-0. Another run carried over into the third inning when freshman Megan Hill ripped a single past the shortstop.

It was all the pitching staff of Thibodeaux and freshman Karen Kubacak needed. Though the Cru made a rally towards that lead, it was not enough as clutch pitching led LeTourneau to the big 7-4 victory.
