The LeTourneau University dropped a 2-1 decision in two overtimes to Howard Payne University on Saturday afternoon in Brownwood.

Howard Payne (2-8-1, 1-5-1 ASC) got the game-winning goal from Jacob Moore in the closing minutes of the second overtime to come away with the win. Moore scored for the second time on the day when he picked up a pass from Tracer Moore for the game-winning goal in the 109
th minute.

LeTourneau (3-10-1, 1-4-1 ASC) had opportunities throughout the contest and sophomore goalkeeper
Miguel Cabrera kept the contest close throughout the match. The co-ASC Defensive Player of the Week made 16 saves in the contest while facing 34 shots.

Jacob Moore for HPU scored his first goal of the contest in the 64
th minute to end a scoreless tie for a 1-0 lead in favor of the home team. LETU managed to equalize in the 80
th minute when sophomore
Adam Schultz scored in the 80
th minute for his sixth goal of the season.

With the game tied at 1, Cabrera made a pair of saves to send the contest into overtime. In the first overtime, LETU was limited to one shot and HPU had six opportunities including one that was blocked by the LETU goalkeeper and another was saved to send the contest to an additional overtime period.

In the second overtime, HPU recorded three more opportunities before a shot attempt by LETU's
Danny Canaviri was saved and an opportunity by Schultz in the 107
th minute was saved by HPU goalkeeper Brice Gardner, who wrapped up the contest with 16 saves in the contest.

Next, LeTourneau will close out the regular season with three-straight home matches starting with a contest on Friday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. against University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.Â
