Box Score 2 The LeTourneau University softball team swept University of the Ozarks, 7-0 and 7-1 on Friday to begin the home portion of its schedule.
The YellowJackets had 11 hits in game one and seven more in game two for the doubleheader sweep to improve its record to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the American Southwest Conference.

The Eagles were held to four hits in each game, who fall to 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the ASC.
LeTourneau starting pitchers combined to give up just one earned run in 11 innings of work. Offensively, it was a complete team effort with five-different players recording multiple hits in the doubleheader sweep.

Game One
In game one, LeTourneau jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a RBI single by
Megan Hill. The game remained close to the YellowJackets scored four times on four hits in fourth inning to break the game open. In the inning, senior
Jourdan Glover and sophomore
Halee Pryor each had RBI doubles and sophomore
Taylor Kaderli had a RBI single for three of the four hits to pace the attack.

The YellowJackets added to its lead when senior
Anna Winter had a two-out, two-RBI single, scoring
Tessa Young and
Nikki Hebert for a pair of insurance runs. Offensively, LeTourneau finished the contest with 11 hits for its third double-digit hit game in seven contests.

Taylor Thibodeaux moved closer to becoming the all-time wins leader in school history. Thibodeaux improved to 4-0, allowing four hits and striking out five on the afternoon.

Game Two
In game two, Ozarks scored its first and only run of the doubleheader in the first for a brief lead. LeTourneau took an early 4-0 lead in the second inning with two coming on a two-out, two-RBI single by Kaderli. Earlier in the inning, they picked up runs on RBI singles by junior
Emily Ramsey and freshman
Whitney Judd.

They added to their lead with a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth inning for the final margin. In the fourth, they scored a run on a sacrifice fly by Glover. In the fifth, LeTourneau picked up an unearned run after an Ozarks miscue and in the sixth, senior
Chloe Cooper had a RBI single with two outs.

Four of the seven hits as well as four of the seven runs for LeTourneau came with two outs in the win. LeTourneau starting pitcher
Kelli Parton got the win, allowing just two hits to the 20 batters she faced to raise her record to 3-1.
