Box Score PhotosAfter advancing another day in its first appearance at the ASC Softball Championship Tournament, the LeTourneau University softball team dropped a 9-1 decision in an elimination game to Louisiana College on Friday afternoon in Tyler.
Louisiana College (23-14) scored twice in the first, third and fifth innings and three times in the fourth for a 9-0 advantage. Three hits by Courtney Ivey led a 11-hit attack by the Wildcats; also, Sandra Ouchley and Laura Gulotta-Parrish each added two hits. Taylor Legler pitched five of the six innings for the win, scattering five hits and allowing a run.

Anna Winter started the sixth for LeTourneau, who ended the season with a 17-26 mark . Then,
Tessa Young singled for her second hit of the day to load the bases. Next,
Ashley Hickerson drove in Matulis on a ground out for the lone YellowJacket run.
The contest ended the season for the YellowJackets and was the final game for five special seniors -
Chloe Cooper,
Jourdan Glover,
Kelli Parton,
Taylor Thibodeaux and
Anna Winter. The five leave a lasting legacy for future YellowJacket softball programs.
