The nationally-ranked Patriots (8-0-1, 3-0 ASC) broke into the scoring ledger when Melissa Miller crossed in a shot that was deflected by the LETU goalkeeper into the back of the net in the 10
th minute. Miller added an insurance tally in the 58
th minute for UT Tyler. The host Patriots stretched the lead when Morgan Monzingo and Caitlyn Mortus scored in the 25
th and 36
th minute, respectively. The other goal came for UTT when Nikki Gordon scored in the 50
th minute.
LeTourneau (4-4, 2-1 ASC) goalkeepers
Bridey Davis and
Brittany Hollis each played 45 minutes and teamed up to make nine saves in the contest. Davis made seven saves in the first 45 minutes; meanwhile, Hollis had a pair in the second 45 minutes. LETU juniors
Raylene Gould and
Stephanie Vana accounted for the three shots in the loss.
