Box Score 2 The LeTourneau University softball team wrapped up its first weekend of action with a doubleheader split against the University of Dallas on Saturday. The Crusaders won game one, 7-0 before the YellowJackets came back with a 5-3 win in the nightcap. With the doubleheader split, the YellowJackets end the first weekend with a 3-1 record.
In game one, LeTourneau had four hits with
Brittany Avila,
Megan Hill,
Courtney Matulis and
Kaylee Pritchett each had a hit in the loss. In the nightcap, the LETU offensive attack was paced by a 2-for-3 effort by Matulis. Also with a hit was
Rachel Gauspohl,
Megan Hill,
Whitney Judd and
Nikole Williams in the win. Picking up the win in the circle was
Ashley Hickerson and Matulis pitched the final two innings for the save.
The YellowJackets will continue its eight-game home stand to begin the 2015 season with an ASC doubleheader against Howard Payne on Friday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m.
