LETU Men's Tennis Edged By Texas A&M Texarkana

RESULTS

LONGVIEW, Texas - Following a late start due to a rain delay that took place earlier in the day, the LeTourneau University men's tennis team fell by a score of 5-1 to Texas A&M University-Texarkana at the Davis Tennis Courts in Longview, Texas on Monday, March 19th. 

The match, which was played until one team clinched victory, was the second of the day for LETU while falling to 3-7 overall. TAMU-Texarkana, which is receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 Tennis Poll, improved to 13-4 overall. 

All three doubles matches were able to completed, with the YellowJackets taking the number one doubles match with Christian Farris and Jimmie Henson earning an 8-5 decision for their second win of the day. Robby Bundy and Zac Crowley-Kurth narrowly missed out on a victory, falling by a score of 8-5 at number two doubles while the number three doubles pair of Nash Best and Dale Wallace fell by a score of 8-1. 

Of the three singles matches that were completed, the Eagles earned victories at number one, number two, and number six singles while the number three, number four, and number five singles matches were not played. Farris fell by scores of 6-4, 6-2 and Henson fell 7-5, 6-1 in their respective matches while Cameron Wall played in the number six singles match and dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision. 

A chance to rebound will take place on Thursday, March 22nd when LeTourneau hosts Colorado Christian University for a 3 p.m. match at the Davis Tennis Courts.
