LONGVIEW, Texas --Â The LeTourneau men's and women's tennis teams opened their fall seasons hosting the East Texas Invitational over the weekend at the Davis Tennis Complex and Longview High School.
The YellowJackets played matches against Hendrix, Ozarks, St. Thomas, and Hardin-Simmons in an action-packed weekend.Â
The women's team put together a successful weekend, earning 16 singles wins and eight doubles wins, finishing above .500 in both categories. Â
Chloe Tesser led LeTourneau, winning three singles and four doubles matches, finishing with a perfect 7-0 record on the weekend. Three of Tesser's doubles wins came with Madeline Chilek, the other with Samantha Ferguson.Â
Other standout performances on the women's side include Anaiah Smith, who went 3-0 in singles, and Ferguson, who combined her singles and doubles records to finish 4-2.Â
The men's team picked up 14Â singles wins and five doubles wins to conclude their weekend. Â
Freshman Zachary Graham was the YellowJackets top performer as he recorded a 3-1 singles record, while also picking up a doubles win with Keltan Jordan.Â
Jack Giseburt, Jared Hodge, and Josiah Nellis all had solid weekends on the singles side as they each picked up two wins and held a winning record.Â

Both teams are back in action Sept. 18-19, competing in the LETU/ETBU Invite.Â
